In an effort to recover unpaid property taxes and maintain the financial health of the community, the State of New Mexico Property Tax Division will host a delinquent property tax auction that will give potential buyers an opportunity to acquire properties with outstanding tax liabilities.
The auction is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17 in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Blvd., Las Cruces, NM. Interested parties are encouraged to arrive early.
How the Process Works:
- Interested bidders must register at the auction location before participating in the bidding process.
- Bidders will have the opportunity to place bids on properties, and the highest bidder will be awarded the property.
- Successful bidders are required to make full payment for properties before the auction ends, payable to the Property Tax Division of the Taxation and Revenue Department.
How to Obtain a List of Properties:
A hardcopy list of properties may be purchased at the Doña Ana County Treasurer's Office for $10 and updated lists may be picked up thereafter for no additional charge with proof of payment. Maps are no longer available for sale, however you may view the property location by entering the account number into this Parcel Map.
